THE READING DR.

Teacher Toolkit

Get your students set up in six steps — from creating your class group to sharing progress with families.

  1. 1

    Create your class group

Set up one group for your class (or small groups for intervention blocks). This is where your roster lives.

    Go to Class Groups
  2. 2

Add your students to the roster

Add each student with their name and grade. The grade tells the placement check where to start.

    Open your roster
  3. 3

Have students take the placement check

Each student takes a short, adaptive check (about 15 minutes). A quiet corner during independent work time works best.

    Start the placement check
  4. 4

    Review each student's results

You'll see every student's reading level, skill gaps, and recommended starting activities — no grading required.

    View results and gaps
  5. 5

    Assign activities and homework

Assign the recommended games to individual students or your whole class from the Teacher Hub's assignments tab.

    Assign from the Teacher Hub
  6. 6

    Share progress with families

Invite parents so they see a simple, jargon-free view of their child's progress and what to practice at home.

    Invite parents
